Desiree Makote is presenter/producer who joined the SABC in 1992 as an English newsreader on the now defunct CCV channel. She has since held a variety of profiles, including presenting and script writing on a magazine programme, DJ and newsreader on Radio Metro and South Sotho newsreader on SABC 2. As a lover of art and music, broadcasting was a natural progression. 'I feel quite at ease in front of the camera. Interviewing thoroughly puts me in my element. The biggest and continual challenge for me is being informed on EVERYTHING'. Outside broadcasting, Desiree is a marketer. She loves working with brands in all their marketing aspects whether it's positioning, building, or re-structuring.
