Lebogang Mashile is an extraordinary young voice. As a spoken word performer she has captivated the young urban hipsters of Johannesburg with her intense, lyrical poems, and shared the stage with luminaries from across the world. Now Lebo is moving out of her urban comfort zone and crossing South Africa’s broadest point in a quest for interesting stories and self-discovery.

The 13 part series follows Lebo as she uncovers unique stories from ordinary South Africans in the small towns, and the hidden places of our country. It is also an intimate unraveling of Lebo’s own personal quest for identity, as she explores and recounts the ways in which South African men and women relate to each other, and the land around them.
